Alex is a momma, yoga teacher and co-creative gardener.
Her journey with yoga began in 2005 with a serious hormonal health issue. She sought alternative ways to heal her condition and it wasn't until she started to practice yoga that healing began. Not only did yoga help her heal it also introduced her to a life of continuous growth, self exploration and mindful living.
She has studied nutrition at Institute of Holistic Nutrition, Reiki level 1 at Transformational Arts College, Reiki level 2 through Lidia Kulyshnek, Yin and restorative yoga, children's yoga, and 300 hr yoga teacher training at Yoga Therapy Toronto and Ayurvedic Head Massage.
She firmly believes yoga is a way for self exploration, growth and connecting to one's own essence. Her passion lies in restorative and private classes as this is where she's seen her own personal transformation from simple exhaustion to severe anxiety. She infuses her class with love, care and attention to guide her students to be present for themselves.
She urges you to come and explore the world of yoga. Your life will never be the same. Yoga will gift you a skill that will guide you through your journey.

Studio Director, Yoga Instructor & Yoga Therapist Trainee
From the moment she took her first child's pose, Jessica knew she had found something extraordinary. She began her practice as a way to find balance in her life; gradually, it became a way of life for her. She attended her yoga teacher training in Lima, Peru through Fred Busch's Hot Power Yoga training at LimaYoga. From there, she began to soak up all the training she could get her hands on, including, but not limited to, pre- and postnatal, senior/chair yoga, children/adolescents, therapeutic focused, chronic pain intensives, kriya yoga, reflex point, reiki, aromatherapy, yoga nidra, ayurveda, therapy balls, hot stone restorative, and thai yoga bliss. Her thirst for knowledge clearly cannot be quenched as she is currently working on a multi-year program to become a certified Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She firmly believes that there is something for everyone in yoga and loves working one on one with people to empower them to optimize their own health.
For Jessica, this studio is a dream come true. The vision for Zenergy Yoga was born in the Andes of Peru as she hiked the Inca Trail on a recent pilgrimage abroad. She dreamed of creating a studio that is accessible to everyone, regardless of their age, ability, experience level, or socio-economic status. She envisioned a space where people gather not only for classes, but also to belong to a community of like-minded individuals who support one another as they progress through their yoga journey. Jessica enjoys holding diverse events and workshops to engage people from all walks of life and feels blessed to watch the Zenergy Yoga Community grow and blossom right before her eyes.

Stephanie is a 200 hour certified yoga teacher, who is passionate about changing the way people think, feel and practice yoga. She believes that every yoga class should be safe and inclusive for every individual and take into account our unique life experiences.
Stephanie was 18, when she walked through the doors of her first yoga class and will admit, she had the desire to become strong and flexible through its practice. In return, yoga gave her much more than she could ever have imagined.
Her practice changed from what yoga can do to the body, to what it can do to the mind. It gave her the tools to manage her anxiety; it empowered her and it gave her the ability to overcome her biggest fears. Most of all, yoga instilled confidence in her and has always been where she has turned in the inevitable hard times.
From a young age, Stephanie always knew she wanted to work with people, but wanted to find a unique approach. She drew on her own personal experiences and completed her Yoga Teacher Training in January 2016. Since then, she has been actively teaching in the indigenous community and as an indigenous woman herself, she enjoys infusing her practice with aspects of her culture and empowers her students to find their own unique practice.
As a teacher, Stephanie draws on her background in Psychology and Restorative Justice. Her passion lies in trauma-informed yoga, grief yoga and yoga therapy.
Instructor, Pre and Post Natal and Children's Yoga Specialist
From childhood, Tara loved to express herself through movement. At the young age of three, she started ballet and progressed to competing in five different types of dance by the age of 14. After injuring herself at 16 in a ringette accident, she made the decision to stop competing. She knew she wanted to keep the expression of movement in her life but was uncertain of how.
Tara’s journey with yoga started in 2012 and she has since dedicated her life to growth, within herself and her students, through what she considers to be a truly magical practice. She feels that her teaching has brought her a sense of true commitment and understanding of a higher cause. Tara has struggled with ADHD as well as her weight for years and yoga has allowed her to find a path to peace, not only mentally but physically. Tara’s classes allow for a space of well-being, where each student can walk in and receive exactly what they are looking for, even if they didn’t know exactly what that was prior to entry.
