My Yoga Journey

My name is Keith Woolley and I currently work for the York Region District School Board as a School Braillist and Educational Assistant for the blind and visually impaired. I live with my affectionate cat, Ginger, who I adopted a couple a years ago. He has given plenty of love and affection. I am also part of a larger worldwide co-operative community of devotees who follow the spiritual teachings of Avatar Adi Da who personally discovered a religion that integrates both eastern and western traditions. Through Avatar Adi Ada's Teachings, I have uncovered a life of discipline, devotion and simplicity which has given me great happiness and joy which I have not been able to find throughout my inner and outer searches in this chaotic and conditional world of ours.

One of the great disciplines I have discovered in my life is the discipline of Yoga. I found Yoga in my early 30's and I have been practicing Yoga faithfully for over 20 years. I fell in love with it immediately. I also learned over time that it relieved me off my severe anxiety and depression along with other physical health ailments. I noticed that over time I was finding an equanimity and a peaceful body-mind that was slowing replacing my anxious and unhappy life. I have been part of many spiritual and Yogic communities throughout a large part of my life and I find it an important part of my growth and spiritual connection.

Yoga integrates both mind, body and spirit which is a very important aspect in living in this chaotic world of ours. I also feel that it is important to find a supportive community and relational instructors. I definitely find this at Zenergy. The instructors are very attentive and knowledgeable which I find is a very important aspect in teaching yoga. Zenergy has given me a place of refuge where I can feel safe and also feel that I am part of a larger and growing community of like-minded people. I must also say that I thoroughly enjoy the soothing background sound of the waterfall which is a great plus.
